Learning outcomes for the RNFA certificate

• Students will be able to perform detailed perioperative assessments and advanced care planning.
• Students will be able to articulate advanced principles of evidence-based care of the patient in the perioperative setting.
• Students will demonstrate knowledge, skills and attitudes specific to the expanded role of the RNFA.
• Students will apply techniques used in surgery, to include: suturing, tissue handling and manipulation, operating room instrumentation, and wound preservation.
