Ron Brammer is a native of Arkansas and graduate of the University of Arkansas. He is a charter board member and past president of the Arkansas Bandmasters Association and has served as a clinician and adjudicator in Arkansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas.
Ron Brammer currently resides in Springfield, Missouri, where in 1997 Mr. Brammer accepted a position in the music department of Missouri State University as director of the University Community Band. This band performs several concerts each season and has often been invited to perform for the Missouri Bandmasters Association. This academic year marks his 22nd season with the band and a professional career spanning 32 years on the podium.
His love of the band and fondness for band members is evident. As Mr. Brammer says, “Being a member of the band is a special experience; one that never leaves you; it becomes a part of who you are.” His association with the University Community Band, with members ranging in age from 18 to 89, confirms his belief.
