Biography

Jeff Loughary holds a BA in French and Spanish from the College of the Ozarks (2003), an MA in Teaching from the University of Utah (2006), and an MS in English Language Teaching and Literacy Instruction from Missouri State University (2023). He is a doctoral candidate in Composition and Applied Linguistics through Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

 

At Springfield Public Schools, Jeff served as Curriculum Development Committee Chair for World Languages and taught French at Central High School. He has been teaching since 2005 and has Missouri teaching endorsements in K12 French, K12 Spanish, and K12 English Learners.

 

Jeff teaches French, World Language Teacher Methods, and assists with the supervision of student teachers. He serves as the department liaison for high school dual credit programs in Spanish, French, Mandarin Chinese, and Japanese across the state. Jeff is also on the executive board of the Foreign Language Association of Missouri.
