NWEI Discussion Courses

We offer five sustainability discussion courses.

These courses are completely FREE and open to all MSU students, faculty, and staff.

NWEI`

The course workbooks were developed by the Northwest Earth Institute (NWEI) to facilitate discussion about sustainability topics. The goal is to increase sustainability awareness, education, and action in our daily lives.

Discussion takes place in 6 to 8 sessions approximately 1 hour in length with a recommended 8 to 12 participants. The workbooks provide all resources you need to effectively lead a discussion. Thus, both beginners and experts can take the courses and volunteer to lead discussion.

The courses could be completed by a variety of different types of groups including, but not limited to, student organizations, faculty and staff groups, students seeing extra-credit opportunities, Green Teams, and Residence Life initiatives such as Living Learning Communities. This is a great opportunity to learn more about sustainability and connect with like-minded individuals.

Course workbooks are housed in the Library and can only be checked out by individuals participating a discussion group. If you are interested in forming or participating in a discussion group, please fill out the form below. Be sure to follow us on social media for updates! A few copies of each book are on course reserve, which allows professors to utilize them as part of their course content.
