Biography

A registered professional geologist, Dr. Doug Gouzie is professor of geology and director of graduate studies in the department of geography, geology and planning.

He teaches geology and environmental courses, and his research interests include: carbon sequestration, environmental geochemistry of karst, environmental science, quantitative dye tracing of karst and sinkhole development and prediction. Gouzie serves as a statewide resource expert for sinkhole issues.
