The Modern Global Economy Certificate

The Modern Global Economy

This certificate is designed for students who aspire to have careers—with government, business, or NGOs—related to the global economy. It is meant to give students a solid foundation in economic theory and provide skills for the economic analysis of major issues and policy challenges related to the global economy.

Program requirements (12 hours)

  1. Two courses from: ECO 346(3), 456(3), 565(3).
  2. Two additional courses from the following options to total 12 hours in the certificate:
    1. Any international education abroad course listed or cross-listed with economics, typically ECO 397.
    2. One of the following General Education courses may count: GRY 100(3), HST 104(3), REL 110(3).
    3. MGT 447(3), PLS 232(3).
  3. All candidates must satisfy the General University Certificate Requirements.

Completion requirement

Attain a grade of C or better in all courses used to fulfill the certificate requirements.
