The following email was sent from the president's office to the Missouri State community on January 6, 2021.
Subject: Update on virtual town hall and COVID-19 testing
I hope you are rested and ready for a busy spring semester.
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, the Crisis Management Core Executive Team has been meeting regularly. We’ve discussed many issues that impact our ability to maintain operations at the university during the crisis.
I appreciate you participating in discussions with your colleagues and supervisors that have helped us develop solutions to some of our greatest challenges.
Your creativity, innovation and flexibility have allowed Missouri State to remain open.
Testing is available for all students, faculty and staff
Testing is a key component to a successful semester. All students who are living in residence halls are required to be tested for COVID-19 before they move back in this semester.
We’ve also made asymptomatic testing widely and easily available for all other students, faculty and staff.
More information about testing is available on the Safety First blog.
Join me for the Jan. 15 town hall
Join us for another virtual town hall at 3 p.m. Jan. 15. Access the Zoom link online.
I would like to share our plan for moving forward in the spring semester and answer your questions.
Thank you for all you do.
