Off-Campus Proctoring

Off Campus Proctoring of Exams

The Testing Center is not responsible for arranging, facilitating, or approving off-campus proctoring. All arrangements for off-campus proctoring must be made between the individual student and the instructor. You may, however, be able to arrange off-campus proctoring of your exam at a Missouri State University off-site campus as listed below. Contact your instructor and the site representative to insure availability, and complete the Proctor Information Form to submit your request to your instructor.

Off Campus Proctoring at Non-Missouri State Outreach Centers

If none of the centers listed above will work for you, you may be able to find a local testing center by checking the National College Testing Association's (NCTA) website. Please remember you must still make these arrangements through and with the cooperation of your instructor, using the Proctor_Information_Form.

Zoom (Remote) Proctoring Services

Students who are unable to physically go to a testing center may, with permission from faculty, request exam proctoring via Zoom. As a general rules, Zoom requests should be due to one or more of the following circumstances:

  • The student is quarantined and should not come to campus.
  • The student is in isolation and should not come to campus.
  • The student is out of region (more than 45 miles away from campus) and cannot find a local testing center.
  • The technology available to the student does not support Respondus Monitor.

These are not the only circumstances possible; please contact the Testing Center at TestingCenter@MissouriState.edu for more information.
