The Department of Religious Studies celebrates its 50th Anniversary, 1969-2019, at Missouri State University!
Several events are planned to celebrate our anniversary, honor our founders, and thank our students, faculty, and staff, past and present, for their contributions and support.

The Religious Studies 50th Anniversary Reception was held on Friday, November 1, 2019. We enjoyed visiting with friends, alumni, colleagues, and students, and look forward to future celebrations of our department's anniversary.

In 2001, our founder Dr. Gerrit ten Zythoff passed away. His life and contributions to MSU (then, SMSU) and to society at large are described in a special memorial issue of The Tablet.
