Community partnerships and service learning

Community involvement is a cornerstone of our program.

Active community partnerships include:

  • C.A.S.T for Kids: Occupational therapy for children with developmental disabilities through outdoor activities like fishing.
  • MSU Adapted Swim Program: Teaching children with autism how to stay safe around water.
  • Neonatal intensive care units (NICU): Job shadowing and research with infants and families at local hospitals.
  • O’Reilly Center for Hope: Occupational therapy for people experiencing homelessness.
  • Rural health: Working with Amish clients for program development, health and wellness promotion, and therapy service expansion.
