BSN Four-Year Degree Plan

Timeline for completion

You can complete the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program in eight regular semesters (four years). This is often faster than a two-year associate degree and BSN-completion program.

You're required to have all pre-nursing course work completed or in progress by the time you apply to the BSN program.

Pre-nursing transfer credits

If you've completed a pre-nursing program at a different school, your transfer credits can typically help you complete the BSN degree at Missouri State in four regular semesters (two years).

Acceptance into BSN program

You must be accepted into the BSN (nursing) program before the start of your fifth semester.

Depending on when you start. you'll complete the program in a fall cohort or spring cohort.

Degree plan notes and grade requirements

• You must meet all prerequisites for each course, or you will not be allowed to progress in the program.
• You must maintain a cumulative course exam average of 75% or higher in nursing courses.
• Courses in the nursing major may not be taken more than twice.
