Hiring Resources

Few activities undertaken by members of the University community will be as critical to the University as recruiting and selecting employees. How this activity is handled directly affects the ability of Missouri State University to implement its mission to educate students to be global citizen scholars committed to public affairs.

We are dedicated to providing equal access to our employment environment while at the same time taking affirmative action to recruit and retain outstanding faculty and staff from historically underrepresented groups, veterans, and persons with disabilities, consistent with our obligations as a federal contractor.

The Online Applicant Tracking System (ATS) is the software application that enables the electronic handling of the recruitment, application and hiring process. Before starting the hiring  process, including creating the posting, individuals involved in the hiring process will need  to attend the following trainings:

  • Applicant Tracking System-Hiring Approver's Training (provided by Human Resources); and,
  • Conducting a Legal and Effective Search Training (provided by the Office for Institutional Equity and Compliance)

Register for the trainings through My Learning Connection.
