Video Services

Video services are available to University units and departments. The office of web and new media can provide shooting, editing and final production of your videos.

Scheduling

Scheduling of a videographer is dependent on videographer availability and the number of projects currently scheduled. Please contact Brad Mitchell as early as possible to ensure being able to schedule a videographer.

Distribution

Posting of any completed video to the Missouri State YouTube channel or Missouri State on iTunes U is free of charge. Completed videos can also be provided as a digital copy or on a DVD.

Live streaming

Live video streaming of your event is possible through the University's Livestream account, depending on the physical location of the event and internet connection availability. Live video streaming is an additional $50/hour.

Costs

Below are the types of video we can produce, and the rates associated:

  • Basic event coverage (panel discussion, speaker, lecture, etc.)

    • $50/hour for setup and filming time

    • $100 flat fee for editing

    • Example video:

  • Spotlight video

    • $300 flat fee for filming and editing

    • Includes filming of an interview, plus any basic footage captured

    • $50/hour for any extra filming that requires scheduling a separate shoot

    • Suggested final time length is 1-3 minutes

    • Interview questions must be provided by the client

    • Example video:

  • Marketing video or extensive event coverage

    • $75/hour for setup and filming time

    • $300 flat editing fee for videos 5 minutes or less
    • Additional $200 editing fee for every additional 5 minutes of video length

    • Any script or interview questions must be provided by the client

    • Example video:
