Navigate the topics on the left to learn more about various aspects of using Flickr.
Flickr is a convenient way to share both promotional and educational materials with your web audience. Some ways University units can use Flickr:
- Keep group photo albums on record to re-purpose with other social media.
- Supplement educational content with photo albums and visual resources.
- Use a Flickr World map to create virtual field trips, recording events and providing visual content in a geographic format.
- Create scientific diagrams by labeling hotspots in your photos with more information.
Tools for Uploading Photos
Flickr provides a useful uploading tool called Uploadr. It allows users to add titles, tags and descriptions, add stuff to sets and reorder things directly in the Uploadr before they are sent to Flickr. Uploadr may be helpful to University units who are submitting large numbers of photos to Flickr.
