HTML Forms

Web developers may use Web Press or other web authoring software to create online forms. The University supports methods that allows these forms to send results to an email address or send results to a database. Web developers may contact the Web Help Desk for support with these methods.

Additionally, the Office of Web and New Media creates web forms for University units. See Web Works website for service and cost details.

Forms Requiring Security

Web developers should place online forms that ask for sensitive information, such as credit card numbers, social security numbers, etc., in a secure website.

Forms Requiring Advanced Scripting

Web Works creates web forms for University units, including those requiring security or advanced scripting. See the Web Works website for service and cost details.

Web developers may use advanced scripting (such as asp, asp.net, or php pages) to process form results, but the University does not support web developers developing forms using these methods. Web developers may find support through online resources.

Departments wanting online forms that need to update administrative data should consult with Computer Services Management Information Systems'. See the page Computer Services Management Information Systems forms for details.
