Facebook represents a ubiquitous and rapidly growing platform for social networking that the University can use to communicate with current and prospective students, alumni, parents, and interested community members the way they want to be communicated with. The viral nature of Facebook and the ability to spread ideas through your friends’ and/or fans’ networks is something that University units are encouraged to take advantage of.
