My Missouri State is the University's web portal. A My Missouri State channel displays information in a shaded area, as show in this screenshot:

There are three types of channels:

• Targeted content channels are sourced from Web Press
• Banner channels come with the system
• Custom programmed channels can be requested from Computer Services or Web and New Media

Channels are best used for targeted, small pieces of information, especially if the information is updated frequently. They are also good providing links to other web applications.
