A blog is a simple website that allows it's authors to create content in an easy to read format. Most blogs are oriented around specific interests or themes, and are frequently updated so that visitors can check back for new posts on a regular basis. Blogs provide an outlet for people and organizations to create news and insight that reaches an audience of interested readers. University units can use blogs in much the same way as a convenient way to provide updates to followers and keep students, staff, alumni and faculty up to date.
