The Web Developers Users' Group met on April 28, 2004, at 11:00 AM in the Parliamentary Room, PSU 313.

Announcements

Sara Clark, Missouri State Web Coordinator, gave the following announcements:

  • A student web developer position is open in the Theater and Dance department. Contact Mark Templeton for more information.
     
  • IT Council reviewed an Information Technology Accessibility Action Plan, which will have some impact on web development. More information will be provided later this summer, once the plan is fully finalized.
     
  • Topics for next fall's meetings include Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) and proper usage of copyrighted material.

Training opportunities

  • Faculty Development in Instructional Technology workshops include courses on planning a website, FrontPage, Blackboard and several other topics. For more details see their course schedule. The training is free and open to faculty.
     
  • Staff Professional Development workshops include courses on Photoshop, FrontPage and several other topics. See the training registration page for more details. The training is free and open to staff.
     
  • Making Your Web Pages Accessible to Everyone
