Web security

Sara Clark, Web Coordinator, delivered a presentation on web security. Her presentation covered web sites containing or collecting sensitive data, how search engines can find unlinked web pages, secure transmissions and secure storage. For more details refer to her Web Security and Privacy Presentation Outline.

Domain name change

Now that the name change for the University has been approved, a new domain name (web address) will be chosen. No web content should be changed to refer to the new name until after August 28, 2005.

Homepage redesign

The University's homepage is undergoing a redesign. The new design will integrate the new name, implement web standards, work on handheld devices and capitalize on the features of the web content management system.

The next WDUG meeting will be held in the Parliamentary Room, PSU 313, on April 11, 2004, at 2:00 PM.
