Spring Immersion Trips

Apply to be part of Spring Break
The Spring Immersion Trip is a week long trip where students are immersed into a new culture, group of people, and experience. Trips include direct service with local agencies, learning about a specific social issue, social time in the destination city, and time to hang out with other students.

| Fellowship | Spend time with other Missouri State University students, explore the city, and have relaxing social time structured each day. |
| Reflection | Each day will consist of time to reflect on your experience, share your thoughts with others and talk about the social issues. |
| Public Affairs | Learn more about cultural competence, community engagement, and ethical leadership and how that applies to you as a student. |
Trips
Child Welfare - Dallas, TX
The mental, physical, and social health of our youth is a major issue affecting many children. Come to Dallas and work with various organizations that are promoting health in our nation’s children and working with local schools to encourage healthy habits.
Urban Development & Renewal - New Orleans, LA
To maintain and keep cities vibrant and promote healthy lifestyles urban development and renewal is a key issue that includes negative consequences such as gentrification. Service will include restoring areas, park development, and urban beautification.
Hunger & Homelessness, Chicago, IL
Hunger & Homelessness is one of the largest social issues in the world affecting individuals from all cultures. Service will include volunteering with homeless shelters, food donation centers, and with other agencies that support the homeless.
