News Submission Guidelines

Following are general guidelines for submission of information to the office of university communication and what type of action will generally follow.

In addition to the media distributions listed on these pages, information about events and activities may also be included on MyMissouriState, the university homepage, the faculty/staff homepage, and in other locations on the university website.

Events that are entered on the Master Calendar are displayed on the university home page and in other locations on the university’s web site. Also note that news releases are posted to the university communications’ web site and run on the university’s home page.

The office of university communications provides this list as a general guide. Our staff reserves the right to make editorial decisions regarding the final format of any publicity.
