The transfer credit reevaluation and preapproval online systems are designed so that students can appeal equivalency decisions or seek equivalency decisions for transfer course work.
Appeals for transfer credit reevaluation
Before requesting an appeal, speak with your advisor. You must receive an advisor’s release to access the online transfer credit reevaluation system.
Also, consult the online transfer equivalency guide to see if the course in question has already been evaluated for what you are wanting.
If it is determined that a course should be re-evaluated, access the online transfer credit reevaluation system through My Missouri State. Follow the directions on the screen to complete the process. You will be asked to provide a detailed course description and syllabus information.
Transfer credit preapproval
If you are seeking a preapproval for a course you plan to take at another institution, speak with your academic advisor before submitting the request. Also, consult the online transfer equivalency guide to see if the course in question has already been evaluated for what you are wanting.
If you are participating in a study away program, work with the study away office to gain your preapprovals.
Faculty/staff initiated transfer credit reevaluations and preapprovals
Transfer credit reevaluations and preapprovals can be initiated online through the Teaching/Advising tab on My Missouri State. Follow the online instructions to initiate transfer credit reevaluation or preapproval.
