The West Plains Campus will provide the Office for Equity and Diversity data for the Affirmative Action Plan. The Affirmative Action Plans for the System will be develop and disseminated by the Office for Equity and Diversity.
The Office for Equity and Diversity will conduct an in-house gender equity in athletics audit of the West Plains campus every four years.
The Office for Equity and Diversity, in conjunction with the Equal Opportunity Advisory Committee, is responsible for the development and dissemination of EO/AA policies and procedures. The Equal Opportunity Advisory Committee will include faculty and staff representation from the Springfield, West Plains and Mountain Grove Campuses. All policies and procedures should be system-wide in perspective, and will be reviewed as necessary by Administrative Council and the Board of Governors.
The Office for Equity and Diversity, Diversity Management Team, and President’s Commission for Diversity work collaboratively to develop and implement diversity initiatives for the University system. The Diversity Management Team and the President’s Commission on Diversity have representation from the University system.
The system Office for Equity and Diversity processes all complaints other than those handled under the informal resolution processes at the West Plains campus. The West Plains campus liaison processes complaints under the informal resolution processes (unless the unique circumstances of the complaint indicate otherwise) and notifies the Office for Equity and Diversity of the complaint.
The West Plains campus liaison audits recruitment and selection processes in accordance with system search guidelines and provides data to the Office for Equity and Diversity. The Office for Equity and Diversity audits searches for West Plains positions whose major administrator is at the Springfield campus and all other searches of benefit-eligible positions conducted by the University.
The hiring units are responsible for maintaining search records in compliance with federal guidelines and system search guidelines.
The system Office for Equity and Diversity will develop the system training program and will conduct sessions at the Springfield campus. The West Plains liaison will conduct the training session for the West Plains campus.
The system Office for Equity and Diversity develops the training programs and works with Human Resources and Computers Services to deliver and track the training programs. The West Plains campus liaison facilitates the scheduling of the training for the West Plains campus.
Employees of the West Plains campus initiate their request to the West Plains campus liaison. All other employee requests are initiated with the Office for Equity and Diversity.
Assistive Technology Services will provide technical assistance and consultation with academic accommodations for all students in the Missouri State System. Requests for assistance with academic accommodations for students should be initiated on respective campuses with review from the Office of Disability Services or the Learning Diagnostic Clinic. Requests for assistance with employment accommodation requests should be initiated with the Office for Equity and Diversity (Disability Services outlines the shared system responsibilities).
