Today, it requires efforts to offer courses in new formats and through innovative means to a broad array of potential students on campus and off. Education also requires much more than the communication of information—students of all types require opportunities to apply what they have learned, to participate in the processes of inquiry, and to experience environments that broaden and enrich their ability to perceive, understand and have an impact on their world. Finally, students require skills and assistance to help them become successful in their studies and beyond.
