The Centennial Leaders program is a scholarship and leadership program for first semester freshman at Missouri State which is going into its fifth year. This program includes a scholarship of between $1250-$2500 (depending on their need) per year for the participant’s first two years in college. In return, these students will be expected to participate in a 2 year leadership program. The participants applied for this scholarship while they were seniors in high school. Their involvement in high school and an on-campus interview assisted the university in narrowing down our pool to 25 participants. The first component (semester) will be a similar experience to the MSU Emerging Leaders program. We anticipate the participants will not only walk away with invaluable experiences, but friendships and connections that will continue throughout their collegiate experience and beyond.
