| My name is Lexi Beck and I am so honored and excited to be a part of this year's Homecoming Court! For me, being a Missouri State Bear is a family tradition. Though we live in St. Louis, I am one of four in my family to attend MSU. I was fortunate enough to be nominated by my sorority, Delta Zeta, and I can't wait to represent them as their president and queen candidate! As a French Education major, I look forward to traveling and sharing my experiences that I have had here at Missouri State. I was also a SOAR Leader for 2012, I am currently a Peer Leader, and I am a member of several student organizations including Order of Omega and Kappa Delta Pi. I want to be your Homecoming Queen because I love MSU and I would be thrilled to represent all of you! | Hailing from a hometown of Lee’s Summit, just south of Kansas City, Missouri, Garrett Mueller is extremely excited to be nominated to represent MSU as 2012’s Homecoming King. Garrett is majoring in Management with an emphasis in International Business. He also is minoring in Chinese, and you will frequently find him speaking to international Chinese students on campus to practice. After he studied away in Qingdao, China, last fall, Garrett developed a strong passion for making international students feel welcome at Missouri State. Garrett also enjoys making all students feel welcome and helping each student find their place at MSU, as he has served as a SOAR (Student Orientation, Advisement, and Registration) Leader the past three summers. Garrett is involved in a multitude of campus organizations including Cru, Student Government Association, the Honors College, Chi Rho Greek ministry, and is an Emerging Leaders graduate. He is proud to be nominated by Theta Chi Fraternity. In addition to studying Chinese, Garrett loves to play sports, exercise, and write. He believes the Homecoming King and Queen are great role models of the university and must have great Bear pride. If elected King, he would continue to portray the excellent example of this that previous kings have exemplified. One of Garrett’s favorite memories is rushing the court when the Men’s basketball team won conference in 2011, and he wishes that all students invest in campus activities and organizations that will create lifelong memories, friendships, and experiences. |
