More than 1,500 Missouri State students volunteer in and around Springfield compiling over 45,000 hours of volunteer work each year. Our students are dedicated to serving the community. Community agencies can access these students by using the Campus Volunteer Center's services. Agencies can post volunteer opportunities with our office so we can help place students in volunteer positions that best fit both the student and the organization. Positions can be ongoing or one-time events.
Each listing is posted on the Fast Action Bulletin and on our website (please click this link to search for volunteer opportunities). Students look through the listings and find opportunities that they are interested in, at which time they will request a referral and contact the respective individual to get started with an opportunity.
In order to post a volunteer opportunity, access the website and click List a job (for employers). You will then "Request an employer account". After approval is given log in and enter any volunteer opportunity needed. If computer access is not regularly available please fill out the Volunteer Listing Form and return it to our office: fax to 836-7608 or mail to the Campus Volunteer Center at 901 S. National Ave, Springfield, MO 65897.
Our office also places students that have minor on-campus violations resulting in forced community service with community agencies to fulfill their requirements. We only send these students to agencies that want to be a part of this program. If you would like to put your agency on our Judicial Sanctions list please contact our office.
