The National Student Employment Association dedicates the first full week in April to recognizing student employees across the nation. Missouri State University will take part in this national appreciation week for the first time in 2013.
April 8-12, 2013 will mark our first annual National Student Employment Week.
Events for 2013
- Office Decorating
Any office that would like to decorate their space to show their appreciation for their student workers can sign up to participate in the Office Decorating Contest. Office must be decorated by 5pm Monday April 8 and Judging will take place Tuesday April 9 in the afternoon. The winner will be notified by Thursday and be presented with a Trophy. Judging criteria is linked here. You must register your office for the decorating contest using the form at the bottom of this page. We strongly encourage your office to make the best use of recycled materials already in your office. Registration for Office Decorating and Thank You Postcards must be done by Monday, April 1 at 5pm.
The Office of the Registrar won the "Best Place to Work" Trophy for 2013.
- Apply for $100 National Student Employment Week Grant
Kim Sahr in the Dean of Students Office and Sue McCrory in Computers for Learning each won a $100 grant. Congratulations!

- Thank You Post Cards
The Office of Student Employment will provide Thank You postcards for your office to give to your student employees during the week to show your appreciation. If you would like to request thank you cards please fill out the registration form at the bottom of this page. We will deliver these cards to your office April 4-5 for you to use. Registration for Thank You postcards and office decorating must be done by April 1 at 5pm.
- Student Employee Dive In Movie at Foster Recreation Center
The FRC has been reserved for Friday night, April 12, 2013 at 8pm for all student employees and their supervisors for a Dive In Movie. This will be a great opportunity to spend some time with other student employees on campus at the newly opened aquatics center in FRC. We will give away door prizes at the pool party. See you there!
- Coupons
Student employees will receive coupons to use the week of April 8-12, 2013. There is a bookstore coupon and a one time coupon for food in the PSU (excluding Chick-Fil-A). Supervisors must request coupons for their student employees. Please fill out the registration form below to request coupons. We will deliver them the Thursday or Friday before.
Registration is closed. If you registered to receive Thank You Postcards and Coupons they will delivered on Thursday April 4 or Friday April 5, 2013. Thank you!
