Staff Senate has developed a Staff Senate Scholarship to assist staff members or a dependent of a staff member with tuition costs at Missouri State University. We would like your support in contributing to the efforts of raising funds for the scholarship that could assist you and your family as well as your fellow colleagues and their families.

The recipient must be enrolled at Missouri State University and is making progress towards a degree. Annual completion of the FAFSA is required. Recipient may be either a staff-person employed at the University (currently and for at least one year prior to the time of application), or a qualified dependent thereof. When awarded to a dependent student, the recipient must be enrolled full time.

The choice of the recipient of this award will be made upon the recommendation of the Office of Student Financial Aid. Consideration will be given to high school performance, college aptitude, leadership qualities, community service and financial need. Selection will be made in the spring of each year funds are available for awarding to begin the following fall.

The staff senate committee relies on donations from the campus community to fund this scholarship. This is an opportunity for you to give in order to benefit your fellow employees and their families. Your contribution – even $5.00 – would greatly benefit a most deserving student or staff member.

You can contribute in any of the following ways:

• Cash or check
• Payroll deduction
• Contributions can be given as a memorial for a loved one or friend.
• Donations from departments.
