Commissioned Second Lieutenant becomes prosecutor
Captain Wielert was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the Marine Corps in 2008 after receiving his Bachelor of Science degree from MSU.
While majoring in economics, Capt. Wielert studied European economics in the Netherlands and Mandarin in Qingdao, China. He then attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law, focusing on litigation.
Wielert passed the Missouri bar exam in 2011 and started prosecuting misdemeanor cases at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, North Carolina. In September 2012, he graduated from The Basic School and in December 2013 he graduated from the Naval Justice School.
