Anesthesia: cream of the crop!

Anesthesia program: learn who we are

Chris grew up on a farm in Rural Missouri. His healthcare career began as a surgical technologist, ambulance attendant and sterile processing technician. He completed a BS in Biology/Psychology in 2002 and his BSN in 2007.

Chris served in the Army Reserve Medical Corps for 15 years, earning the Expert Field Medical Badge and graduating from the US Army Seargents Major Academy. He was deployed overseas to the Balkans, Afghanistan and Iraq and currently serves in the Army National Guard. He also completed Officer Candidate School. Chris is an Infantry officer, assigned as the Executive Officer for an Infantry company. On his summer break he completed the Army Pathfinder Course.

Chris is married to a KCMO police officer, and has two children.

Anesthesia likes and dislikes: Likes include ASA 1 and 2 patients, ketamine, and regional anesthesia. His dislikes: full stomachs, obstructive sleep apnea, and prone cases.

Chris is looking forward to graduating from Missouri State's School of Anesthesia in January 2014.
