The following directions will help guide you to Lot 9, the designated parking area for students and family members at SOAR.
Directions Using Google Maps™
For detailed directions from a specific location to Lot 9, visit Google Maps™ and enter your starting location. The route should take you directly to Lot 9, the SOAR parking lot.
Directions Using a GPS Receiver
For directions directly to Lot 9 on the Missouri State University campus using a GPS receiver, enter the following destination address:
1100 East Harrison Street
Springfield, MO 65807

Driving Directions
From the Springfield-Branson Regional Airport
- Take Kearney Street as you leave the airport and travel for about 6 miles.
- Turn right (south) on National Avenue. Follow National Avenue approximately 2.5 miles.
- Turn right on Harrison Street. Parking for SOAR will be located in lot 9, directly behind Woods House (the first parking lot on your left).
From the north on Highway 13 (Kansas City area)
- Stay on Highway 13 from Clinton (which becomes Kansas Expressway as you reach Springfield) until you reach Chestnut Expressway.
- Turn left (east) and follow Chestnut Expressway approximately 2.0 miles.
- Turn right (south) on National Avenue and follow it until you reach Harrison Street.
- Turn right (west) on Harrison Street. Parking for SOAR will be located in lot 9, directly behind Woods House (the first parking lot on your left).
From the east on I-44 (from the St. Louis area)
- Exit I-44 at the US 65 south exit (the Branson exit). Stay on US 65 (south) 2.5 miles until you reach the Chestnut Expressway exit.
- Take the Chestnut Expressway exit. Turn right (west) and follow the Chestnut Expressway 2.7 miles until you reach National Avenue.
- Turn left (south) and follow National Avenue approximately 1.0 mile to Harrison Street.
- Turn right on Harrison Street. Parking for SOAR will be located in lot 9, directly behind Woods House (the first parking lot on your left.
From the west on I-44 (from the Joplin/Tulsa area)
- From I-44, exit at the Chestnut Expressway exit and turn right (east).
- Continue on Chestnut Expressway until you reach National Avenue.
- Turn right (south) on National Avenue and follow it until you reach Harrison Street.
- Turn right on Harrison Street. Parking for SOAR will be located in lot 9, directly behind Woods House (the first parking lot on your left).
From the north or south on US 65
- Exit US 65 at the Chestnut Expressway exit.
- Go west on Chestnut 2.7 miles to National Avenue.
- Turn left (south) and follow National approximately 1.0 mile to Harrison Street.
- Turn right (west) on Harrison Street. Parking for SOAR will be located in lot 9, directly behind Woods House (the first parking lot on your left).
From the east on US 60
- Exit US 60 (or James River Expressway) at the National Avenue exit.
- Turn right (north) and follow National Avenue approximately 3.5 miles to Harrison Street.
- Turn left (west) on Harrison Street. Parking for SOAR will be located in lot 9, directly behind Woods House (the first parking lot on your left).

Where should I park for SOAR?
Parking will be available for SOAR attendees in Lot 9 behind Woods House. This lot is directly north of Woods House, which is marked with a 133 inside a black circle on the campus map. Please make sure you are parked in Lot 9, as you may be ticketed for parking elsewhere.

On the morning of your SOAR session, SOAR leaders will be stationed in this parking lot to answer questions and direct you to SOAR Check In.
Will I need a parking pass? How do I get one?
Yes, you will need a parking pass. These passes will be given to you as you arrive; SOAR leaders will great you at the entrance of Lot 9 and provide you with a parking pass for the session.
