Missouri State University School of Accountancy students certified by the IRS provide a number of FREE tax services to members of the community in two separate Tax Clinics.

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Clinic

This clinic provides 2 FREE tax preparation programs for current year tax returns.

1.   The Walk-in and/or By Appointment (417-720-2000) Volunteer Tax Preparation Clinic
For clients with income of $52,000 or less
  A student volunteer will prepare and e-file your return at no charge

2.   MyFreeTaxes with telephone assistance
For clients with income of $58,000 or less
Do your own taxes with a volunteer available to answer your questions “via phone”

The Low Income Tax Controversy and Outreach Clinic

Available to clients with income of 250% of HHS Poverty levels or less.
