Bomb threats are often made to get people into a more vulnerable location. Should it become necessary to evacuate a building the decision to evacuate will be made by the following individuals in the priority indicated:

- Director, Safety & Transportation Department
- Fire Marshall
- Provost (Academic Buildings)
Residence Hall:
- Director, Safety & Transportation Department
- Vice President for Administration and Information Services
- Associate Vice President of Administration
- Fire Marshall
- Vice President for Student Affairs
- Director of Residence Life, Housing and Dining Services
Hammons Student Center/Plaster Sports Complex:
- Vice President for Administrative & Information Services
- Associate Vice President of Administration
- Director, Safety & Transportation
- Fire Marshall
- Chief of Staff
- Director, Hammons Student Center/Plaster Sports Complex
