The five hour course is unique in the aspect that the techniques do not rely on size and strength, and can easily be learned and retained. This course is divided into four topics.
The first unit examines the psychological aspect of sudden attack upon the body, where the body receives its strength and how long it can be expected to last and the need to use simple, mass muscle movement for strikes for escape, as fine motor skills will be lost. The disengagement moves and strikes are simple to learn and easy to retain.
The second unit explains prevention psychology. We examine the dangers of alcohol, date rape drugs, acquaintance and stranger rape, selection of clothing, selecting a seating location in a room and many more avoidance issues.
The third unit covers managing social or professional physical harassment. Control techniques for physical harassment in the workplace and social functions are stressed in this section. Low level techniques that can easily avert an unwanted physical advance are taught with an easily retained method.
The last unit covers sexual assault countermeasures. When confronted with a criminal sexual assault, the techniques taught in this section can be used to neutralize the assailant. Among the techniques stressed are striking techniques utilizing hands, legs and feet, followed by methods of escape and evasion necessary to reduce the chance of further attack.
