Residence Life and Services

Welcome to the nationally recognized and award-winning residence life system at Missouri State University! Get ready for one of the most rewarding experiences of your college life. Convenience, friendship, social activities and educational programming are just a few of the reasons students enjoy living on campus.

Did you know that university housing residents at Missouri State are more likely to get involved in extracurricular activities and learn valuable educational, social and leadership skills? This involvement helps create a feeling of ownership and belonging. As a result, statistics show university housing residents obtain higher grade point averages than their peers off campus. University housing eliminates most of the inconveniences associated with living off campus so residents can concentrate on academics and complete their education in less time than those students living off campus. That's why Missouri State is committed to the concept of "The College Life." Because the university believes in that philosophy, all single students under 21 years of age, with less than 30 hours of transferable credit, are required to live in university housing.

The Department of Residence Life and Services offers a wide variety of accommodations and living environments. The links to the left will provide you with more information about our residence halls, including our Living-Learning Communities for freshmen.
