As one of the liberal arts, Majors and Masters students may elect to pursue careers in almost any field, including academia, the ministry, or secondary education. Some students have used their Religious Studies degrees to go into law, publishing, consulting, social work, counseling, and other professions. Students majoring in other fields would do well to add a minor in Religious Studies, as it will help them develop critical thinking, interpersonal skills, and a global perspective, all of which will serve them well in their chosen careers. Students in the M.A. program are trained to pursue doctoral studies in the country's top programs and to pursue other professional careers related to Religious Studies.
