The classes I teach (see below) tend to focus on the interaction of religion with society and with people’s lives. That being said, the learning process in these classes is much more than the relaying of information, but also discussion about how we see that information playing out in societies and in people’s lives. It is inspiring for me to watch students become better able to understand world cultures and world events, to clarify their own personal value systems and to respect the world-views of others. As we strive to be responsible citizens in this global society, these actions are vital. I take great pleasure in being a part of these activities in students’ lives.
Students in my REL 370 (Women and Religion) class have begun building an online archive of The Religious Lives of Ozarks Women. You may access the site at:
