Temporary Removal of a DG or DX Hold (formerly Temporary Clearance to Register)

For Academic Department Use Only

The Temporary Removal of a DG or DX Hold (formerly Temporary Clearance to Register) is now an electronic workflow used to temporarily override a DG or DX hold that is preventing a student from registering. If approved, this process will temporarily remove the encumbrance.  Students, or their advisors, may request this through My Missouri State.  For instructions on how to do this visit, Requesting a Temporary DG or DX Hold Removal Experts page.

University policy

A hold may be placed on a student’s record for a variety of reasons such as an unpaid bill or fine, failure to return books or equipment, or failure to be admitted to a degree program within the specified time limit. Most holds will prevent a student from registering for upcoming semesters and the release of a student’s transcript and diploma.
