  1. General Education Requirements - see General Education Program and Requirements section of catalog
  2. Major Requirements (39 hours)
    1. Core Courses (18 hours): ART 271(3), 272(3), 273(3), 274(3), 492(3); and any 100 or 200 level studio course (3)
    2. Public Affairs Capstone Experience will be fulfilled by completion of ART 492(3).

    3. In consultation with an advisor, complete 21 hours in at least four of the following areas of art history:
      1. Area I: ART 472(3), 474(3)
      2. Area II: ART 475(3), 478(3)
      3. Area III: ART 381(3), 479(3), 480(3), 484(3)
      4. Area IV: ART 374(3), 382(3)
      5. Area V: ART 385(3), 485(3)
      6. Area VI: ART 386(3) 
      7. Area VII: ART 377(3), 378(3), 387(3), 488(3) 

        With advisor’s approval, ART 496(3), Special Topics in Art History, may substitute for a course in one of the areas.

  2. Additional 12 hours art history electives should be chosen with advisement by an art history faculty member to bring the total number of hours in art history to no fewer than 18. Note: Students may not use both ART 480(3) and ART 484(3) to fulfill the 12 hours of electives. ART 200 cannot be used to satisfy this requirement.

Bachelor of Science

  2. Additional 15 hours art history electives should be chosen with advisement by an art history faculty member to bring the total number of hours in Art History to no fewer than 21. Students may not use both ART 480(3) and ART 484(3) to fulfill the 15 hours of electives. ART 200 cannot be used to satisfy this requirement.
