Veterans Incentive Program

About the Program

The Veterans Incentive Program (VIP) is a program* designed to assist our Veteran population with their pursuit of higher education.

In addition to specific support services, VIP also offers a dedicated lounge space which is a place of comfort and acceptance to all of our Veterans on campus. The lounge has comfortable furniture and a never-ending pot  of coffee. It is a place for our Veterans to gather and support one another.

Program Participation

Participation in the program is optional and each participant will develop an individualized plan of action with Veteran Student Services staff which will guide their path through a degree and into their chosen career path.

Regular meetings with a VIP Coordinator will be held to ensure program participants are meeting their individual goals and maintaining satisfactory progress.

Program Advantages

Veterans who participate in the program receive numerous benefits as participants:

  1. VIP participants enjoy personal mentorship throughout their educational experience to ensure they are getting everything possible from their education.
  2. VIP participants have priority processing of Veteran Administration education benefit paperwork submitted to the campus and receive assistance with other financial aid applications.
  3. VIP participants reap the benefit of both institutional tutoring, and peer tutoring free of charge.
  4. VIP participants receive greater opportunities to engage in campus activities as well as off campus activities.
  5. VIP participants gain increased community support.
