Registering for an intramural sport requires that you register and pay for your team with Campus Recreation, then, create your team on IM Leagues for scheduling and to receive league communication.

How to register an intramural team as a captain
Follow these steps for a successful team registration, or view the step-by-step PDF:
- Register team and pay through the Campus Recreation website
- Read your specific sport’s rules and general intramural policies
- Create a log-in ID on IM Leagues
- Click on the Missouri State University link
- Select the sport you wish to play from the list at the bottom of the screen
- Choose the league you wish to play in
- Click the Create a Team button and follow the prompts
- Attend the captain’s meeting
Any registered team that chooses not to send a representative to the captain’s meeting will be declared ineligible to participate in the chosen sport.
How to register as a free agent
Follow these steps if you are looking to join a team as a free agent:
- Create a log in ID or log-in to IM Leagues
- Click on the Missouri State University link
- Select the sport you wish to play from the list at the bottom of the screen
- Choose the league you wish to play in
- Select the option Join as a Free Agent
- Attend a free agent meeting at one of the times designated below or sign up on the free agent list at the Campus Recreation office
Signing up as a free agent does not guarantee that you will be put on a team, but it is the best option for finding a team if you do not have one. The free agent registration process helps to get your information out to the participating teams and to introduce you to other free agents who want to play the same sport.
Once you join a team, you are a member for the rest of the season; you can only play on one men/women's team and one coed team per sport.
