The American Red Cross Wilderness First Aid course is recommended for those who work, live, and play in remote areas, often too far away for quick access by emergency medical services. This course focuses on Delayed Help Scenarios, Skill Practices, Injuries, Fractures, and so forth. The course is a two night course, concluding with a 50 question exam; upon completion participants will be issued a certification valid for 3 years. Many employers in the fields of recreation and camp counseling look for this type of certification.
CPR certification is required prerequisite for this course. Please check our website for CPR classes offered Fall 2011.
Full time staff and faculty may use their non-credit course fee waiver.
