Board Description

The Campus Recreation Advisory Board exists to provide open dialogue between Campus Recreation/Foster Recreation Center personnel and input from Missouri State University students, faculty, staff, and other active members. The purpose of the advisory board is to act in the best interest of the entire campus community and advise the Campus Recreation department of, but not limited to, policy discrepancies, operational procedures, and programmatic issues.

Meetings

The Campus Recreation Advisory Board will meet once monthly, starting in Spring 2017. Members are encouraged to attend all meetings, if possible. All meetings will be held in the Conference Room of the Foster Recreation Center.

Benefits

Campus Recreation Advisory Board members will have their picture and information posted on the Campus Recreation website starting in January 2017 and lasting through their tenure on the board.

Board members will also receive free lunch during the regular monthly meetings they attend.

In addition, members will have the opportunity to network with other university professionals and make Campus Recreation and the Foster Recreation Center a more welcoming and inclusive environment for peers.

Requirements

Students must be in good standing with the university and have a 2.5 GPA or higher to serve. Participation is open to both undergraduate and graduate students.

Board members must be active and consistent members of the Foster Recreation Center.
