Do you support the Board of Governors establishing a phased-in per semester student fee for the design, construction, and operation of a new, consolidated University Recreation Center to be implemented in the following manner?

*The University Recreation Center is scheduled to open between Spring 2010 and Fall 2010. The anticipated fee will be $80 upon opening.

Referendum Details

1. If passed this referendum will support the implementation of a new phased-in per semester student for the design, construction and operation of new, consolidated University  Recreation Center.  Current estimates are that fee will be $80 per semester when the facility opens.
2. This plan was developed using information obtained by the student funded feasibility study which included data from a study body survey completed in February 2006.  (For specifics on the feasibility study and student survey, click here.)  Results as of 10/02/06 indicate the project is still feasible.
3. All members of the campus community utilizing the facility will be required to assist with the costs of the facility.
4. Individuals who pay the phased-in student fee before the facility opens will receive credits for use of the facility after their graduation.
