Program Review Guidelines
The development and strengthening of our programs is our most essential priority, requiring ongoing planning, review and analysis of all our efforts. The purpose of the program/unit review at Missouri State University is to allow the members of a department to continuously gauge the effectiveness and efficiency of its academic programs. By systematically reviewing mission, goals, priorities, activities, and outcomes, the desired result is continuous improvements in the quality of teaching and learning, research, and public service.

Comprehensive Schedule of Reviews
Periodic (external) reviews are an important part of the program review process. Most departments/units will complete an in-depth self analysis every five to 10 years which will be reviewed by an external evaluator. The schedule for the initial round of these periodic reviews is included here.
Departments wanting to re-schedule their review date should contact their Dean.
