The Provost Fellows for International Education and Partnerships promote “internationalization” of the learning environment at Missouri State University and the broader community through a variety of means, including comparative, regional studies and language studies; convocations and other events that promote engagement and understanding.

Dr. Mahua Barari Mitra

Dr. Barari was born and raised in India and completed her B.S. degree in Economics from Presidency College, Kolkata, India. Her recent research interests revolve around international financial markets and have led to presentations at domestic and international conferences as well as publications. Dr. Barari has been active in promoting education in India. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and reading. 

Dr. Corinne Karuppan

Professor, Management Department

Dr. Corinne Karuppan graduated with a B.A. in Langues Etrangères Appliquées, Université de Lille III, France, in 1983, and received her M.B.A. from Creighton University in 1986. She received her Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1991. Dr. Karuppan’s teaching interests include Quality Mangement in Health Care, Business Process Management, and Management Decision Making. Her research interests are in the arenas of resource flexibility, training and retention, and medical tourism. Dr. Karuppan’s research has been published in journals such as Journal of Operations Management, Production and Operations Management, International Journal of Operations & Production Management, and European Journal of Operational Research. Her service focus is International Education, and she enjoys international travel, scuba diving, and oenology.
