Dixon, KY

  • Binging TV (although I get to call it research!)
  • Gardening
  • Searching for cheap travel deals and usually finding them
  • My dogs (and other people's dogs)
  • Convincing people that Kentucky is amazing

Future Goals and Aspirations

I'm so excited to be at Missouri State! The campus climate and students feel very similar to both Murray State and Ball State, where I spent time as an undergrad and master's student. In the short term, my goals are to get settled in, learn about the students in the Media, Journalism & Film department, and get my new courses prepped. In other words, just survive! In the long term, I look forward to getting more involved with campus organizations at MSU - students are my favorite thing about my job. I also hope to keep publishing quality work, advocating for the importance of studying popular media, and, obviously, earning tenure.

Life Outside the University

Related to my hobbies above, I spend a great deal of time watching television, traveling, and hanging out with my two rescue mutts.
