My research has focused on the study of biochemical interactions occurring among plants (allelopathy) with special emphasis on the physiological mechanisms of action of allelochemicals, interactions among these chemical and other environmental stress, and weed-crop interactions. I also have maintained an active interest in research and development of science teaching methods.
